A valid question, but I would point out that air conditioning is already deployed at large scale and works by sucking humidity out of air. The consequences of this should be the same as the consequences of that. In fact, this makes me stop and wondering if the two functions can be combined for greater economy of scale. Free airconditioning + power generation all in one = win win. This is all speculation, of course.
