All the problems you’ve highlighted have more to do with bad programmers than a bad paradigm. And your preferred paradigm certainly isn’t impervious to the mistakes of bad programmers either. Bad programmers will always find a way to write bad code. It’s naive to think functional programming is-- in your own words-- a silver bullet.
