On a technicality, no, because there are no classes to begin with. 😉

I hope Go will one day have a struct init function in the same way that it already has package init functions, however, (and this will sound a bit critical, and it is) for as much as I do like Go, I’ve given up on trying to follow what the Go team’s plans are for the future of the language simply because I believe they have adequately demonstrated that the community’s input on the process doesn’t matter and that community contribution isn’t particularly welcome.

So… we can hope, but that’s about all we can do.
